Erwin Savenije
Erwin Savenije, manager at Emsland Gemüse, is closely involved in the development and implementation of innovations in vegetable cultivation. As a result of both bedding plants and vegetables being grown in the dual-purpose greenhouse, the need arose four or five years ago for a more efficient crop rotation system that would help improve logistics and labour performance. In collaboration with Van Iperen, Bato is actively involved in the trial phase and implementation of the Bato Uni Trough in tomato cultivation.
Jan Jansen
Jan Jansen is a commercial technical specialist at Van Iperen B.V. Jan has been closely involved in the testing and implementation of the Uni Trough in combination with a Lensli substrate. The combination ensures that plants develop strong root growth. There is always a sufficient supply of oxygen, which is partly due to the extra depth and open design of the trough. Despite the annual steam clean, the Uni Trough remains a high quality product.
