Bato Trough 2.0
We worked with a grower to develop our Bato Trough 2.0 for cultivating cucumbers on perlite. And, of course, this substrate is also suitable for other crops. The substrate troughs can be mounted on steel gutters or on the cultivation floor. The bottom of the Bato Trough 2.0 ensures maximum drainage, with no contact between the substrate trough and the drainage gutter. And that means no root contact with the drainage gutter, which helps to prevent the risk of disease and virus transmission. The ergonomically integrated hand grips, on both the long and short sides, make picking up and moving the substrate trough easy and quick, even when inter-planting cucumber plants. Subject to certain conditions, you can steam clean the substrate trough, which ensures years of use.

Maximum drainage
At the top end, the trough has two or four grid-shaped drain holes. These have drip conductors that force the water that hangs on the drain holes to flow through the gutter. The number of drain holes can vary from zero to eight holes. In addition, customer-specific drain holes are possible.
A sustainable alternative
Under certain conditions, you can steam the Bato trough, which makes it suitable for years of use. A sustainable option that also saves money.
